Adopt_A-Highway
Sunday September 15 @ 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Please join us for the Silver Sage bi-annual Adopt-A-Highway community service
project. We will meet in Horseshoe Bend at the City Park at 1:00 p.m. The park is
located behind City Hall, 112 Ada Street, on the East side of Highway 55 after you
cross the railroad tracks.
We will have the organizational meeting at the Park and at that time all volunteers will
sign both the PCA (Porsche Club of America) and IDT (Idaho Department of
Transportation) release forms and divide into two groups for the cleaning project.
Mature children can participate and are required to sign a separate IDT form. We
should be able to complete cleaning our one mile section of Highway 55 in under two
hours.
After we complete our cleanup, we have reserved the Park for a linner (late lunch/early
dinner). Food, water and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. You may bring your
own beer or wine. Please designate when you reply/volunteer if you intend to stay for
the “linner”.
Please reply to Kevin Mitchell, kmitchel@affinityvideo.com by September 8, 2024, if
you plan to participate in the Adopt A Highway and/or lunch so we can ensure adequate
supplies and food.
A good group size is 25 participants, so please sign up early. Adequate shoes/boots,
water and gloves are recommended for everyone, we provide the infamous orange bags.
We hope to see many of you on Sunday September 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
After you sign up, I will send a couple of documents that will provide general guidelines
and safety tips for the road cleanup
